We started the interior work in our vintage travel trailer this weekend. There is extensive water damage under the windows so much of the original wood needs to go. The interior reeks of mildew and rot. We will use the existing pieces as templates to replicate the design. All of the original hardware will also be reused.
I am obsessed with before and after photos, so enjoy. I won't bore you with all of the documentation photos I took so we can put him back together again.
Before: Looks good from a distance, but much of the paneling is rotted.
The cushions and vinyl, formica table and light
fixture are all original and in great shape.
After: Started removing the wood paneling
Before: Sleeping area
After: Martin peeking through the window. Removed the damaged wood.
Before: The original cabinets, drawers, stove and ice box (painted an awful color)
After: Lots of water damage behind the cabinets
The floor is the original linoleum and we plan on keeping it.
