Lower Wolf Creek Camping

We went camping at the Lower Wolf Creek Campground this weekend.  Another successful and fun filled weekend with the Vessey's and Ed and Honey.  It was warm during the day but cooled off at night quite a bit.  It was a nice break from the Phoenix summer heat.

The camp ground has no hookups so we used our battery powered LED lights.  We brought the dogs with.  They did not enjoy themselves as much as we thought they would, but seemed relaxed.  They don't like being on a  leash at all times.  They will have to learn to like it as they will be brought along in the future.

The creek is dry this time of year, but if it had rained there would have been a waterfall here.

I played around with the settings on my camera and danced around in front of the cameral with a small led light.

  1. Hi,
I have just bought a 1949 Crown 12-foot just like yours, it was bought in Reno but is now in Oregon where it will stay at my sisters while we restore it.
Would be great to keep in touch with other Crown owners as I gather there aren't many of us around!
Check out my Facebook page for photos of her at: http://www.facebook.com/vintagecaravanmagazine

Hope to see you on the road soon!

    Cheers,

    Lisa

  2. Say here Crown Canned Ham Enthusiasts!

We have acquired ours. We Live in Keeler CA, and picked this one up in Swansea, a few miles down the road. It is beat up. But not impossible to restore. It has a long colorful history embedded in the mining community and probably used for many years as a residence.

We are at ground zero in our restoration process and are looking around gathering as much information as to the possibilities.. Your site has been instrumental to our thought process at this point and you are now our new heroes!

Thank you so much for your site!

    Kevin and Jutta

  3. I would love to see both of your trailers! I'm so happy we are an inspiration and not a warning:) It was a lot of work, but well worth it.
